The specific objectives of the phase:


3.1 Elaboration and achievement of unconventional biofungicide for treating straw cereals seed in controlling the main pathogenic and toxigenic fungi (EM) – final

(1)    In this phase was assessed the physico-chemical characterization of the raw materials used as components for the biofungicide BIONEC. Thus, the following types of measurements have been performed: ♦ the total content of polyphenols ♦ the total antioxidant capacity ♦ the content of heavy metals/ elements by mass spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma (ICP-MS).

(2)   Before sowing in the field the products were tested in the laboratory, were the treated kernels of spring wheat (Pădureni cultivar) were placed in Petri dishes in order to assess the germination.

(3)  The pathogens observed on the wheat kernels were Penicillium spp., Fusarium spp. Alternaria spp. and also a bacterial strain (Xanthomons spp.) in different percentages. There were 19 variants of biological products which were applied on the kernels by dipping them for 3-5 minutes followed by dusting with zeolitic tuff. To these variants was added the untreated variant (V20) as control.

(4) The biological products were represented by different combinations between hydroalcoholic plant extracts, essential oils, antagonistic and symbiotic microorganisms, commercial products and other substances described at the in vitro” research method.

(5) During the growing season have been made observations regarding the emergence of the plants, the foliar and ear disease incidence. At harvest time it was estimated the production, it was determined the thousand grain weight and there were performed quality analyzes such as protein, gluten, ash and starch.

(6)  In the field the testing of the efficacy of the BIONEC products was conducted in the experimental field of SCDA Turda. There was established an experience where were tested the treated kernels of wheat - 19 variants and the control.

(7)  The results obtained in this phase were disseminated through communications and the website has been upgraded.
